Weekend of Gratitude and Light

I spent my Saturday doing yoga and meditating, followed by drinking homemade chai, eating vegan foods, reading books about chakras, and ended my saturday night with good music, hula hooping and a vibrant discussion of philosophy, pyschology and religion before going to bed by 10pm. This is one of a couple times in my life that I’ve felt “high” after doing yoga.. and I also learned how to get rid of a migraine just by controlling my breath (was able to do this a couple times this weekend) and how to help my digestive issues through doing a few specific yoga positions (that seems to have worked as well). My mind is usually very anxious and rapidfire, but tonight it’s in a place of optimism and peace, the closest it has ever been to “still.” I’m really impressed with the mind-over-body that I was able to accomplish this weekend. I am so very grateful to have friends who see me, who know me, who accept me, who let me be me, and who enjoy doing some of these intellectual, philosophical and spiritual shared interests...
