I hope everyone has enjoyed a wonderful holiday season. My dream, my hope, my wish, my intention for each of you this year and in the year to come is that you are able to do as many things each day as possible that make you happy. Right now. In THIS moment.
Sending you all my love in 2014, 2015, and beyond…
What’s new for me?
I’ve got lots of big updates to share, including getting a job at a local yoga studio and returning to the land of the working. Well, only part time. I’m still running my own businesses on the side — and LOVING it.
I’ve also recently (SUPER recent, as in… THIS WEEK) been told by my doctors that I need to start a FODMAP elimination diet. So, what the heck is a “FODMAP”? I’ll be sharing a dedicated blog post (and recipes!) on that one in the future, but for now… Just picture a diet that is sort of the love child of the gluten-free, dairy-free and low-sugar diets. Yes, it is definitely much more complex than that. Yes, it is every bit as overwhelming as it sounds…although it’s also been a fun challenge and has explained a lot of the bizarre food allergies and intolerances I’ve developed over the years.
I’ve also been brainstorming some service offerings to add to this site. Some are paid, others are free, all of them are (I’m hoping) going to provide you with high quality, introspective and possibly even life-changing insights. So keep an eye out for those.
‘Twas the night before…
Oh, and I have to share these fun holiday care packages that I sent to my out-of-state design clients. Each year, I try to send thoughtful gifts to my clients. This year, I really had a lot of fun with these delicious chocolate mice, which I found here.
They are high quality chocolates and let me tell you, they are THE BOMB. (Do people still say “the bomb”? If not, oh well… I just did.) I also designed a custom card, themed after “The Night Before Christmas.” And each package included a discount coupon that could be used towards each client’s next purchase.
These holiday gifts were sent to clients in New York, New Jersey, and even down in Florida.
I received several positive responses to the care packages. Here’s one of the most beautiful ones:
“Thank you, Brittany, for the Holiday care package! And the best website design AND better than that for your sensitivity, intuitive business skills and clear communication! May 2015 be prosperous for you and your family in all ways possible!”
My heart is filled with SO MUCH JOY just reading that.
If you (or anyone you know) might be in need of design services in 2015, feel free to reach out to me below. I’d love to hear from you!
